Clear Environmental was instructed to undertake a soakaway assessment in accordance with BRE 365 guidance at a proposed 43-unit residential development in Cheltenham. The purpose of the assessment was to confirm the infiltration potential of the underlying soils to inform the drainage design strategy.
Scope
- Conduct site-based infiltration testing in accordance with BRE 365 methodology.
- Measure infiltration rates and soil response under controlled testing conditions.
- Assess the suitability of the ground conditions at the site for infiltration drainage.
- Prepare and issue a factual and interpretive report presenting test results and analysis to inform the sustainable surface water drainage design.
