A residential redevelopment in London needed a planning-ready view of contamination risk from historic industrial activity nearby, and of what further investigation would genuinely be required.

What we established
The site presented manageable, low environmental risk, consistent with its history and ground conditions. A focused Phase 2 was needed to confirm ground conditions, not a broad intrusive investigation.

The project team had a targeted Phase 2 scope that met planning requirements and also gathered information for foundation design, reducing uncertainty in design and budgeting.
